We are recruting students for
Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition 2018
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Central and East European Moot competition (CEEMC) was founded in 1996 by the British Law Centre and held under the auspices of the Court of Justice and the Centre for European Legal Studies of the University of Cambridge.It simulates a preliminary reference from a fictional Member State of the European Union to the European Court of Justice.
CEEMC involves teams of law students from a number of countries in Central and Eastern Europe who will compete against each other in the simulated forum of the Court of Justice to the European Union in Luxembourg.
The competition is organised by the British Law Centre
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to:
Best Speaker : short stage at the European Court of Justice
Winning Team: visit to University of Cambridge during the first week of the following academic year.
Best written pleadings : a book prize.
ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
CEEMC 2018 will take place between 20-23rd April 2018 in Wroclaw, Poland
Host: Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, University of Wroclaw, Poland
Interested students should submit a CV and a letter of interest to Carmen Moldovan at : carmen.moldovan@uaic.ro .
Deadline to apply: February 10, 2018
PARTICIPATION
The competition is open to all students, nationals of Central and East European states including southern states who have applied for entry or have recently entered the EU (specifically Turkey, Cyprus and Malta), who are enrolled on a course at a participating University or comprises a team of students currently studying at one university made up entirely of eligible nationals and:
• are not older than 30 years
• are not practising as a lawyer and
• have not previously participated in the oral rounds of this competition.
