The Faculty of Law, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, Iasi, in partnership with the Faculty of Computer Science and the National Institute for the Training and Improvement of Lawyers – Iasi Territorial Center organize Conference “Legal Perspectives on the Internet” – the Second Edition.
The use of internet interferes with all the fields of law, either public or private, and raises specific legal issues. At the first edition of the Conference, which took place on the 28th of October 2017, both legal and computer experts searched and discovered solutions for some of those issues. However, technology is in a constant and rapid evolution, raising new and diversified challenges for the legal world and waiting for solutions. We intend to approach such challenges in the second edition of the Conference, which will take place on the 27th of October 2018.
The Conference is addressed to legal experts from the academia, PhD students and lawyers, as well as computer experts concerned with the legal dimension of their work. The Conference is an opportunity for debate and search for solutions to the complex interdisciplinary connections determined by the use of internet.
The Organizing Committee invites all participants to an oral presentation of their papers, which address the topic of the Conference. The subjects approached in the paper can belong to any field regarding the use of Internet, and the final papers, after peer review, will be published in the Scientific Annals of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, Iasi, Legal Sciences Section, a journal indexed in Hein Online and CEEOL international databases.
The following topics represent an illustrative enlisting: cybercrime, human rights (right to private life, right to free speech and so on), e-governing and on-line administration, protection of employee, national and international electronic commerce, e-banking, unfair competition, consumer protection, personal data protection, intellectual property protection and others.
Conference registration
Each conference participant can only submit one paper.
There is no participation fee to the Conference.
The deadline for registering for the conference is 10th of October 2018.
